Eight days have passed since the start of NaNoWriMo, and I have some exciting news: I’ve reached 25,000 words! That means that I’m at the half way point of the 50,000 word goal. As for where I’m at in the book, I would say I’m closing in on the half way point. I’m making a gestimation that Written in Silence will clock in at around 60,000 words. Only time will tell, but so far, I’m doing really good, I’m ahead.
You might be wondering what I’m going to do with Written in Silence once I’m done writing it. The fact is that I don’t know yet. It all depends of how good I think it is when it’s done. If it’s something I really like I can always work on getting it polished up. Rewrite it, edit it, and clean it up. If I do all that, maybe I’ll try to publish it or something like that. But hey, that’s far down the road. I have my own non-NaNo book that I want to publish first.
Once NaNo is over this year, I’m going to start sending out query letters for the novel I wrote, the one that I’ve been working on for so long, to literary agents and see if I can get a nibble. Again, time will tell.
Tomorrow, if all goes well, I believe I will give you a look into the setting of Written in Silence.
Current word count for Written in Silence: 26,115/50,000!
Until next time,
