A shift is needed…

Announcement:  LIZZY AND I HAVE REACHED 50,000 WORDS!

That’s right, we have met and already surpassed the NaNoWriMo goal of a minimum of 50,000 words.  The Pharaoh is officially long enough to be considered a novel.  Does this mean we’re done?  Nope, we still have to finish the novel, so the writing doesn’t stop.  It just that we reached the goal we set out for.  My guess is that by the end, The Pharaoh will be between 60-70,000 words.  We shall see.  And again, this is all a vomit draft, so more may be added later is Lizzy and I decide to take it a step further and polish it up real nice.

Now, for a special treat.  I shall share with you what the 50,000th word was: “crown”.  That is referring to Seti’s crown.  I am happy with this word being the one we reached the mark with.

Current word count for The Pharaoh: 50,794/50,000

Until next time,
